Hi there! My name is Taylor Tanner and I started Mindful Mommy Coaching after the birth of my first daughter. I had been working in the fitness industry for 8 years, primarily focused in strength training, weight loss and Spartan Race training. After getting pregnant, I dove deep into learning about perinatal fitness and realized how underserved moms were. I opened my in-person studio and also began working with moms virtually throughout their pregnancies, right up until their births, and postpartum as well. I offered personal training, online programs and also worked with clients prenatally to help them prepare for doctor's visits, childbirth education, birth plan prep, and many other topics. Through this process and working with so many incredible women, a second passion of mine became very clear...birth! 

Between working with my clients prenatally and wanting to bring them more value, on top of my own powerful birth experience, becoming a birth doula was seriously a no-brainer. The day after my second daughter was born, I journaled my experience and knew exactly what my purpose was. To not only support women through their fitness journeys, but to support them during one of the greatest moments in their life, giving birth.

I believe that every woman deserves to have the birth of her dreams. I believe that if women are supported, educated, and empowered during their pregnancies, births, and postpartum journeys, not only are their lives enriched, their motherhood journey is a more positive one. There is also the power to change generations and change how their children and future grandchildren view birth, which can change how women view themselves, which ultimately has the power to change the world.
